Today was a productive day in Room 25. Students completed the first fitness test of the year. We also started our Art Appreciation unit on Mondrian. We met with our Reading Buddies in Mme Stirling's grade 2 class. We also brainstormed ideas for our Mayor for a Day essays. Check out the website section of the blog to see related sites!

The following fees need to be sent in by Friday (tomorrow):

-Canoeing (grade 7): $4.50
-Curling (grade 6): $6.00

Please remember to check the communication binder for forms that need to be sent back to school. We are still waiting for the following forms for some students:

-Immunization forms (grade 6)
-Canoe permission (grade 7)

Welcome BBQ and Open House:

The Welcome BBQ and Open House will be September 15^th, 2011. The BBQ will be from 5:00-5:45 pm and the Open House will start around 5:45 pm in the gym.

Band:
Band starts this week.
Grade 6 and 7 have Full band on Day 2, and 6/7 Sectionals are on Day 3 (tomorrow).
