Jour 1

Band sectionals tomorrow.  Bring your instruments!

Our next ski trip is on Thursday, January 22nd at 12:45.  It would be helpful to have an extra adult come along so if you are available and would like to come out, please let me know by email. 


Our class is participating in a Mini Language Program through the Saskatchewan Organization for Heritage Languages.  We will be learning Igbo (spoken in Eastern Nigeria) throughout 8 lessons.  We had our first lesson this week during which we learned a bit about certain Nigerian traditions and a few greetings/phrases in Igbo (pronounced Eboe).  These lessons align with various Social Studies outcomes for Grade 6.

There is a case of pinworm in Grade 1.  It is highly contagious but easily treatable.  More information below:

Jour 2

We are skiing tomorrow morning!  Remember to dress in layers.  Wear a waterproof or windproof exterior layer if you have one.  Jeans may be uncomfortable.  Wear long socks that extend past your ankles (like you would in skates).  You need a toque and mittens or gloves.  An extra pair of socks might come in handy when trying to fit the boots.  We will be back at the school for lunch.
